That is interesting that can't be tuned out with the flash. What type of day to day issues would you have with speed density, or would it just be an issue with major weather changes? (humidity, temp, etc)

I guess I need to spend some time on evom and learn about these cars.

The only issue with daily driving with an AEM is the start up. Takes a few more cranks for the ems to sync up than the stock ecu. Besides that daily driveability is perfect with the AEM.

No prob, we'll be out there Friday night...this time we'll have more boost and Q16 in the tank. That damn clutch will hold. Although I'm not a fan of 60+ rolls whatsoever, we'll run it. Unless you come out on a good set of DR's or slicks, we can skip the 40. Rich, you still have a silver Cobra as well waiting for his run with you. I"ll let him know to be out friday as well.

Saw him last night and didnt ask me for a run, but it was getting late.

Hopefully i can find some drags for these 225/50/16 so i can get more traction.

I will, you gotta remember ive only had 2-3 weeks of tuning expierience with dsmlink and getting better. Just gotta find traction

True. We need more fast DSM's and EVO's to represent. So hurry up and learn to tune more! ;)

Boy how we have got off topic here.

Any video of Richard's runs yet?

How many people are going? Chris, do I see a 10 on the 18th? Frank?

I wish! Remember I have a useless first gear, plus my other gears seem to be not far behind.

I'm sure he does his own work and 1k is high for a 7 bolt, complete or not. I didn't see where it said anything about installation.

Hmm.. thought he was talking about the chat i had with Justin, i told him id sell him my 7 bolt with installation for $1k. But then again could be hearing things .

Typical shop will charge $600-$800 just to swap motors...

I did not SEE it posted in his other thread that it included installation, it could have been spoken but I doubt Frank was there for that conversation. ;)

I agree $1k installed is a good deal for a 7bolt LONG BLOCK. But he can have one built for slightly more money, and reach the goals he mentioned...as long as he does the removal/install himself.

Now back to the track...what are your goals? You find some tires yet? I would guess low 12 @ 117ish, mph could be higher depending on tires.

I'm pretty much in the same boat you are right now. I've only punched it once in first gear and I felt like I got in a "way back" time machine and was driving my fwd again. My gears hate me right now. I'm trying to look for a spare tranny and transfercase to rebuild slowly. Let me know if you see any floating around for a 95-99, but would really like a 97-99.

I will probably not run on the 18th. I'm trying to keep my car together for December. But if I show up...... I might be persuaded.

I'm really only looking for some extra transfer cases because getting a "built" transfer case is WAY to expensive. I'm just gonna send the transmission thats on the car now to Shep for a re-build. But if I see something for you I'll let you know for sure.

I wish I could just go into to first gear and have it stay there when I move. ROFL

Didnt see the "other" thread so my mistake :coy:

I wont be going to midnight madness this week because my 3rd gear isnt being tooo friendly right now and id rather wait for December for Import Face Off;)
