Hello guys I'm interested in converting my dsm to e85 seeing as tho we have like 5 e85 stations within a 10 mile radius where I live. I searched online for more insight on converting my car to e85 and I ran across the MAperformance e85 kit for the 1g dsm. My question is that I heard the apexi afc neo doesn't work dsm's very well. However this kit includes that airflow converter. If this doesn't work on our vehicles why does it come in the kit? I'm interested in this kit but that's the only thing holding me back from actually purchasing it.

Here's the link: https://www.maperformance.com/products/ethanol-e85-fuel-conversion-dsm

No that's the problem. They are back ordered on the EPROM conversion and IDK how long it will be like that for.

What C'LO said. You can run E85 using ECMlink's fuel adjustments. Which is a lot cheaper than the $900 MAPerformence product.

Among other things, you'll also need a larger fuel pump, larger injectors, and an adjustable fuel pressure regulator.

Just email Tom and Dave at ECMlink and ask them for more details on the back order. They have great customer service.

Well ya I understand what I need to run e85. The map performance kit doesn't include a wideband which I will be needing. The only reason I'm looking into that kit is the fact that it has basically everything u need to run e85. I was just curious about the afc neo being dsm friendly. Has anyone ever ran this kit? I'm not looking for huge numbers I've always been curious about e85 and this kit looks like everything I need.

ECMLink over what your looking at hands down. I've seen several members here post up ECMLink for sale at least once a week. Be on the lookout for it. Besides a way to manage the fuel you will need a fuel pump (255 hp rewired), bigger injectors, AFPR, and a ethanol sensor if you plan on running dual maps.

Ok looks like I'll stick with my original thought of sticking with ECMLink. I just hope their EPROM conversion gets back in stock soon. ROFL

I mean, ball parking it. This is how much you would spend before you even get ECMLink. Since you need all these parts to run e85.

It appears as if, it may be cheaper to get the ECU socketed through them.
Perhaps do too the bundle deal.

Sure you can ECMLink alone and remain stock. But don't you need 15-30% more fuel delivery for ethanol? So an increase in pump and injectors are needed.

Ya that's why this deal looked really good for what I wanted. The biggest draw back is the fact that I had an understanding that the SAFC neo doesn't work very well with our Karman system. Unless I heard wrong.

I want a basic e85 setup so I felt that the injectors that they were included in the package would suit my needs. And by basic I mean under 400 hp. I would like to keep my block stock for maybe a year or so. If this apexi SAFC neo does work with out cars than I see be problem with getting this kit. Also they do have a ECMLink package. The only problem is I need a socketed EPROM ECU. And I'm having a hard time finding one, and ECMTuning is backordered for who knows how long.

Ecmlink, a MAP sensor and the plug n play harness are all thats needed then tune for the E85. ECMTuning sells it all and maybe a bundle deal just ask, all they can do is say no. IAT sensor and Flex Fuel sensors are both optional but the IAT is good to have and not a PITA to put in. Just weld a bung. It will wake your car up running E.

Thank you all for your help. I really appreciate all your advice. I'll go through the classifieds and try to piece the e85 kit through it.
