I saw something very RARE and different this weekend which blew my mind away!

A Red 1990 Plymouth Laser RS Non-Turbo with 2.0 liter engine with only 109,000 original miles. The owner has never crashed it damaged it or restored it. Everything inside and out is pure original! Original engine and transmission and the car was a daily driver! This car looks like it just came out of the factory-pure mint! He bought the car for an unbelievable $3,000.00! It looks like he got a steal even though most cars we see are sold for around $1,500. in only average condition. What do you think? I tried to make an offer but he was very smart and wanted to keep the car to see if he could keep the car in mint shape.

Also there was another RARE find I ran into:

I just about died when I saw an near EXACT double of MY car!!!!

Yes, A 1991 Plymouth Laser RS Non-turbo with the exact paint color as mine. (metalic silver) Up till now I only knew a total of 3 that existed!
2 of those I found only had 1.8 liter engines. The other of the three was an original 1991 Eagle Talon version of my car! This car I found over the weekend had a 2.0 liter engine with an astounding 139,000 miles. and the car only had a few very very minor dents on the passenger door. Everything else was pure original! The only real difference was the grey quartz interior,
(Mine is buckskin brown) and the obivious replaced hub covers. I couldn't find the owner to make a deal but I got his license plate so I can track him ANYWHERE he goes. I need this car to fix mine back up.
My car has an original 63,000 miles on the engine and transmission before I wrecked it. This car will save me a ton of $$$$$ if I find the owner and he is willing to sell it?

This prompts me to ask the question-Do you own or know someone who owns a 1990-1991 Plymouth Laser/Eagle Talon with around 100,000 Original miles or less with the car being pure factory original stock!

If so, I want to hear from you to find out how many rare finds are truly out there! Include Pictures If You Can!

If any 1990-1991 Laser's/Talon's out there have an even ridiculously low milage let's say 75,000 or less I really need to see this myself or hear your car's biography. I do not think there are any other than mine in existance! This is not a challenge, but you can help challenge yourselves and stay busy if your bored during your time on the boards!
Happy hunting everyone! :) :D :laser

uh. i got my 92 not even a year ago with 75k original miles on it. and its a turbo awd version. alot rarer then the n/t thats for sure =)

but cool finds

Who cares?

I have 109 on my heavily modified car. Yippy fvcking yay. As for a stock 2.o N/T...again, who cares? This site is about modifying cars.

My brother's car has 46,000 original miles on it. He purchased it a couple months ago from the original owner. Very nice car.

Well I'll be Damned!

I thought I had everyone beat for sure!

24,000 miles! Is that a Plymouth Laser? Hey uh Buddy, if you want to sell it call me!
46,000 for a 91 Talon! That is rare indeed!

Great story guys-keep it up! Include some detail like how you got the car or something significant that made you buy the car... ...you know what I am talking about.
By the way I'm so sorry for you Mitsubishi Eclipse owners for not incliding you in on the post, I thought that since the Plymouth brand is the rarest of the three nameplates I was shooting for the Chrysler angle only since I own a Plymouth-only to find I shot myself in the foot so to speak. So I'll allow the Eclipse's in on the post but you will not get a response from me since I do not own one.
I still would love to hear your story though, just put it here-okay!
!:laser: :) :D

I only asked for the 1990-1991 model years with low milage only!
Thank you.

Hmmm, my wife had a '90 Laser NT with only 80,000 miles on it. We sold it a year ago.

Not a good move! How much did you sell it for fastplant?

Haha, it was a good move, trust me, it was dying, serious transmission problems among other problems. I think we got less than $1,000 for it, it was not cared for before she got it. The funny thing is she had no idea what it was when she got it. Her dad bought it for her before I met her for a cheap college car and she drove it basically to death. It would have cost too much to fix, but it was cool to have 2 DSMs in the family for a short while. :laser: :dsm:

Bob, why is it that you see fit to pass judgement on everyone as if you were a deity?

If someone wants to sell their car, that's their right.

BTW- Not to inject some more of my own opinion here, but this thread is useless IMHO. There are PLENTY of DSMs that are low-mileage around, my '93 has 90k on it, and I consider that pretty high, to be honest. Of course, that doesn't hold a candle to my '92, with 201,000 on the clock. But to get all giddy and excited over a car with over 100,000 miles might be overreacting some.

i bought my 90 Laser RS-Turbo in November for $1,700. It had 89,440 original miles.

Now it has almost 91,000 (and I've only been driving it for 6 weeks).

All it has done is interior paint, engine paint, and some performance mods. Original everything, other than the items that are supposed to be replaced. clutch, T-belt, battery, starter, alternator, etc.

Nuthin wrong with NTs as far as I see it - they make great daily drivers. My own NT, as much as I've punished it, has kept going all the time.

Even now, after I've bought two TSi AWDs to replace it, I'm still driving it because my '93 is on jackstands with a dead throwout bearing.

Whenever I need reliable transportation, my Emily is always there for me. Go figure.

Not necessarily so! I tend to think there are others who have not shared their story on the boards and was trying to find a subject we really do not see everyday! Hence Why I cane up with this gem! I really did not think there were 1990-1991 cars with lower milage than mine! You would think the possibility after alll these years would be impossible seeing how much people modify these cars. I see now I was incorrect!

And I was not thinking of a car with 80,000 miles to be in bad shape. Would you? That is why I said what my opinion was since the car might of had some years left to go. Most cars for sale over 100,000 miles aren't worth spending money on for a variety of reasons. This is why I thought he had a good car. It is not often you hear about cars like these everyday.

I would have loved to service this car! No DSM should deserve to die at such low milage. I try to save as much of these cars as I can form that automotive graveyard! Oh well.

You Non turbo hater! Hey, performance is great, but your thought is quite harsh to us N/T owners! All I ask is for an open minded view of all DSM's on the post okay! No one comes to you saying turbo's suck! Get the picture! Reply back on the board only. Do not send me a P.M.

wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
