Ok, fairly positive that I have a boost leak somewhere after reading a few posts that suggests when I engage my clutch my idle drops to near cut off. Car is a 98 GSX, fully built 6 bolt motor and trans setup. After warming up this morning, the car idled at 500-600, so I up'ed it to approx 900. After putting in some fuel treatment, I opened her up on the freeway a couple times then came to a complete stop on the off ramp at a light. I've never noticed the idle dropping and rebounding so dramatically so I'm not sure if that's https://19216801.onl/ https://routerlogin.uno/https://192168ll.link/ normal, but it did drop, but to about 300-400, so the "near cutoff" experience has gone away somewhat, but on my way back home I drove normal and on the street and occassionally it dropped to about 250-300, still fairly low. Questions are:

1) Does gunning it affect the idle screw at any point? Is that a common "to adjust" point after running hard?

2) For those running AEM, if it is a boost leak, is there somewhere I can look in the system, when plugging up my laptop, to show me for sure if it's a boost leak, and where it is coming from?

Thanks..

Last time my idle dropped like that when I pushed the clutch, I didn't have the upper and lower thrust bearings aligned properly. You certain that was done and it just wasn't slapped together?

At idle, a boost leak would raise your rpm due to extra air in the mix, whether maf or sd. A significant enough leak would cause a rpm bouncing due to injector shutoff above set threshold.

No. BLT is the only way to check for leaks.
