Whats up guys, I have a 97 Talon Tsi AWD with a EMS stand alone setup. It works great and is tuned pretty well but the one problem I have now is that it takes quite a while to actually fire up, I mean its not like I have to stop and try a couple of times, but the cranking time is significantly longer than it used to be.

What could I change or look for to help start the car up quicker because I have a feeling this is goin to kill my starter sooner than later.

Thanks

I have not seen one car with AEM that did not take a longer time to fire up. My freinds supra takes at least 5 cranks before it fires if not more. So i really dont know what to change to fix it. Just telling you there are other cars out there that have the same "problem"

Hmm well it would be great to fix it but do you know why it takes so long??

Did you remove your emissions or your cold start.

It takes at least 2 complete revolutions with the AEM EMS to fire. Its just a quirk the the system.

Emissions are long gone, wouldnt work with the ems anyway. Cold start is controlled by the ems.

Really? Hmm kind of a weird quirk, mine takes like 4-5 times.
