it had a $250 reserve. i bidded 300 and lost, it was won by a 305 dollar bid, i guess they couldnt get ahold of the guy so i was next in line. already sold the wheels for 200 so im well on my way to breaking even. im going to use this complete engine and harness in my 1980 colt. theres an ad on kijiji for the partout

How bad is the rear subframe damaged? I actually called SGI on the tuesday you picked it up. I was in Yorkton and saw the car in the lot, I would have bought it back but I missed the auction by a week. Oh well.

If you feel like cutting stuff up before you trash the car, I would definitely be interested in some of the AWD swap parts for my spyder. You know, subframe (if not damaged), driveshaft, fuel tank, hangers and bolts needed, etc.

yeah maybe i should keep it all in one piece. sell the entire package. i have s few guys interested in the trans, i said 200 complete with t/c t case, etc.
ill save it all either way

Well I went to bucks auto today....and holy crap what a day!
BlkSmk I found your 3kgt vr4! I let Mike know about it right away and hopefully he can save it keep all those really expensive parts from going to waste.

I stole the front callipers and rotors off of it for like $40 bloody steal.
Also found an awesome old 82-85 celica GT with an amazing clean interior......so told a few toyota buddies it was there.
Found a 2g n/t talon...Meh
And Now for the best of the best I found, I'm going to try and get it this weekend but with out further ado..... the 2JZ!

It maybe a n/t 2j but they're super easy to turbo and they're good to right around 450whp which is all I'll ever need anyway's, Stocking up on engines for when the day comes I get a mk4!

Well thats fine, I wouldnt want the driveline itself, just all the parts to bolt up an awd system to the spyder.

Other than that, feel like parting with the complete front and rear brakes? I might take some of the other front end stuff too, like control arms, etc, if you were interested in parting with them. I may also be interested in odd things like the AC system at everyone just throws away haha.

i have a ring and pinion from a 92 dsm awd, its very likely a direct swap, if a guy cant find a manual awd donor that is an option.
i would be perfectly hsppy with selling you all those parts, it would be good to get rid of the rear spindles before i do something stupid with them

this car would be best left at an acreage, all the glass, doors, front clip, front ended dsms are common, and all the parts are here!

Ya it is a shame I sold my mk2 I miss that car like crazy already. I might not get around to pulling that 2j this weekend after all got to much going on.......You should snap that up Brandon Same block, crank and rods as the turbo motors plus a lot of the other same parts. I'd just be a shame to waste such a nice engine.
Do you still have the v8 swapped s10 from 5 years ago?

Oh and if anyone wants some 1GB eclipse bumpers front and back for free let me know........Like anyone I seriously want these gone and they're damn near mint.

i sold that s10, it was lame. i built it because i wanted a truck for truck stuff, thought it could double as a fun car, but i was wrong. i had a 300-400 hp setup in that thing and it was just lame. a colt with a mild 14b setup is so much more fun
i do have a 73 celica that could use that 2jz. but id just swap a 4g63 if i was ever going to ressurect it

70-74 were all coupes, 75-77 were coupe or liftback. the 75-77 coupe looked very similar but had a completely different front clip. its been sitting in the bush do long now i dont know if ill ever resurrect it. it had a 7mge in it, has a supra rear in it

im not into nice looking cars anymore! all about the colt! the only other car id consider is a smartcar, or possibly a geo

it has some sentimental value, i dont think anybody would pay anything for it, its treed in pretty good, has plenty of moss on it, no rust but its conplete running gear is supra and its missing a hood. i dont know if its worth 200 bucks, and id just keep it. i would ls swap it if i was to do anything with it. it looks like an old muscle car so it should sound that way too.

the main holdback on that is the cost of the transmission, i will not put an auto trans in it, the only decent standard is the 6 speed, and im way too cheap for that!

Lol I'd pay 200 all day long for it. My dad had one back in the day and its his favourite car he'd ever owned. One day im hoping to buy one and restore it for him.
Either way i hope you do something with it before it rusts away to nothing, i think a inline six with a carb setup would be awesome in it.

7-8k would be the low end, last few I've seen restored went for 10+k.
Either way im very jealous. I'd kill even just to look at it as i have yet to see one in person.

Well if it weren't for my neighbour I'd have lost the Talon last night. Few people tried to steal it and my neighbour ran up and flipped out on them, then I heard what was going on and opened the garage door just in time to see them run away. Guess I need to move sooner then later or I'll be DSM'less, worst part is she said their local's she's seen them around lots.

yeah thats one of the perks of having a colt, i could leave it running with the keys in it, case of beer on the seat and nobody would ever steal it.
i would think because they almost got caught they are unlikely to try again. id be tempted to install an alarm tho

car needs clutch and shift fork by diagnosis.
yeah it was the worst clutch ive ever seen. shift fork? nope. tge roll pin fell out. surprisingly did not damage anything. popped in a new roll pin and all back together. should finish it up tomorrow
ill have to ask more money for this one, so i can keep it for awhile! i was really loving the purple 91 i bought in november!

man Brandon you go through DSM's like toilet paper . You ever going to keep one? I'd love to come help work on one some time.
Its come to the point I'm pulling fuses now and disconnecting the coilpack and transistor connector. I'm eventually going to hide a kill switch some where in the interior that can be reached inconspicuously from the drivers seat. It just guts me that in one year my talon had its window smashed and now people are trying to steal it.....my car's not even a clean example hahaha. Guess I should really hold off installing dsmlink and my front mount that way if they do finally get it I have almost enough parts to make a whole new chassis, all I'd need are another rear LSD 4 bolt and axles then I have everything from an engine to wiring harness.

Was that the car where the person was moving out of province and wanted it gone? the $1200 one?

yeah he wanted 1500 for the longest time, i offered 600 and he never replied. who the hells gonna buy it for 1500? its worth 1500 fixed probably. i guess im kind of addicted to them. sometimes i fix em sometimes i part em out.

So you ended up getting it for $600? or did you come up more?

$700. if i get 1700 for it i would be pumped! 1000 bucks for 6 hrs work and a good used clutch and a roll pin and some fluids, thats just fine by me
