Let me know how the track goes.

I think I won't have an option but meth for my holset to get the goals I want.

I'll have to take a good look at that NHRA book and find a nice place to put a certified tank.

Well street legals were cancelled today obviously due to the rain. Next street legals are next Friday.

I think NHRA rules are on SIR's website.

Apparently test and tune was fairly low attendance. Really sad I missed it, I need some dialing to do in.

Using Evoscan to log and it is telling me the Holset is pulling 87lb/min at 4500rpm.

Well it was raining all weekend. Hopefully for street legals this Friday it'll be nice.

Using Evoscan to log and it is telling me the Holset is pulling 87lb/min at 4500rpm.

That seems way to high, especially on an HX35 to me...

That's why needs a chance to tune. LOL

Yeah, I need to take a look at Evoscan and how it calculates the lb/min. I know the raw number it is polling from the ECU, just need to check what it is then go through the calculations by hand to check. There should be no way in hell a Holset 35 can pull that much air, much less the stock 2g MAF to work correctly at that level.

Well the 2g MAF maxes out around 52 lb-min and an HX-35 depending on compressor is 56-60. But I really doubt you're flowing over 52 anyway.

Nope, found a different formula from Ceddy:

The ECU has a Load Limit that is MAF dependant, an EVO MAF will make the limit 380, a 2G MAF will make it 310. (This can be bypassed once it is found in the code)
Load is a measurement of AirFlow/Rev. You can use the formula Load x RPM / 43130 = lb/min, to get a easier to understand unit.

Using that, I'm currently flowing a much more reasonable 40lb/min at 4.5k. Need to finally flash away my fuel cut, I keep raising it each year to leave it in place as a 'just because' but now I'll just have faith in my tune :D

Howdy everyone, got some good news, parts ordered talon is almost ready to finally hit the road,

So looking forward to enjoy the car.

Saskatoon Car show June 2nd, Pike Lake from 11am - 5pm..

Also I"ll be in Saskatoon June 3rd and 4th. If anyone wants to get a drink/food.

June 28th Talons getting to sent to the shop to finish the install

I'll be hopefully doing some tuning this weekend.

Come out to street legals tomorrow, perfect time for some tuning!

Still don't have a good solution for my catch can dilemma. I am going to be meeting with Conrad probably next week and see what I can do. I really want to switch to a single UCIP piece with two bungs - one for IAT and one for Meth nozzle for future expansion. Right now I have three connections just in the UICP and the silicon elbow I'm using for my 1g nt TB blocks the catch can connectors. I may switch to a 1g turbo TB, saw off the elbow and get Andre to fab a single piece from intercooler to throttle body.

I may come out to watch tonight if the weather holds.

Just curious, what intercooler kit do you have? Mine is three piece UICP but it was also made to have a blow through MAF so I just have a short pipe in there instead. (Buschur kit btw)

Bah, got tied up at work, wasn't able to make it out to street legal.

I got an ebay vsrf, same core with very slight difference, mine isn't pre-drilled and has an extra tab for support, but I don't think I'm using any of the piping that came with it. I bought a bunch of aluminum pieces from some site, siliconintakes.com or something like that, because when I changed to the magnus IM, the angle of the kit no longer matched up. I now have an S that goes couples into the BOV pipe that couples into the silicon elbow that couples to the NT TB.

Not the best picture, but you can kinda see all the connections:

I want to get one single piece to go from the inter cooler and to the TB, but I think I will have to switch back to a flanged TB to make it work without using funky pieces to connect my catch can. The other option is to relocate the catch can to the stud on the tranny and maybe fab up a bracket to tie it into the strut support, but I eventually have a new expansion tank coming which is supposed to bolt into where the fusebox used to be.

Well I was going to do a huge update on my build thread but thanks to my piece of a comp I lost all my pic's! so now I'm spending 1k building a new PC instead of ordering the majority of the parts I need to start getting the engine and drive tran together.......looks like I'll be making another affiliated stop monday.
Was hoping to get close to having it ready to run by the start of winter but that's not happening......and there's no dam way I'm wrenching in the snow again f that sh!t.

I'll take a look at affliliated's yard Monday to update the DSM count in case anyone's looking for parts, as its been a while since Mike posted about it. Amigo's still has no new DSM's just in case anyone's wondering. Anyone have any other cars they want me to check for?

I should be around for cruise weekend. I'll keep an eye out for parked dsm and stop by ;)
If my chain tool comes in before then I'll be out on the ninja for sure, just need to rivet the master link of my new chain together and good to go. I'll be hunting for you Andrew!

shit you still ain't found non yet? have you tried posting in the wanted section? the likely hood that you'll find some in our area is pretty darn slim.......I do know where two 2gb eclipse are tho if you want to rob some, I'm sure the people wont notice LOL jk.

Bike bandit f'd up on my shipping so my tool wont be here till the 18 so more then likely wont be out on the bike unless I find some one on 306 with a chain tool their willing to lend out for a day.....probably just drive the old supra then.
