One of the best shape factory 7 bolts I have ever seen. When I did the head gasket that thing didnt have a scratch anywhere on the cylinder walls. Plus really really good compression.

All in all she was pretty stock, but had enough go to keep me preocupied for the time being.

Me too man, I am just hoping I get the build done by Fastest Street Car challange again this year. I mean, I am not going to win, but I want to at least be a contender for a change haha.

However, money is starting to become an issue so I don't know what will happen...

Regardless I am going for 12's this year (probably a high 12 if the tranny doesn't explode :thumb:)
 
That part is still speculative. I'm definitely going to get all the turbo supporting mods before I install a larger one. Things like 225hp fuel pump... don't know if Im going to go for the GMMAF or the AFPR option. Cams.... tuning.... full exhaust... injectors...FMIC etc. Also in time looking at a 20g turbo but like I said thats still up in the air.

You will need both, not either or. And don't get a 20g, be more original :p

Really? thanks for that! Once again shows how little I know about the tuning aspect of it. And Im thinking the 20g because of the fact that its unoriginal. I just want something that will get me to my goal for sure....in no way possible is my car going to be show stopper quality so why should I bother with something more "original".

Sofar, nothing at all haha. Its brand new, just got it yesterday in fact. It will be going on the new 2.3L this year for the first time. I am excited to see what it will do, I am going for 23-25psi (ie, max the thing out) this summer and see how far I get haha.

I expect that in roughly 2 years time, I might have to upgrade :p
 
Hey Matt, I am planning on getting a fuel pump from MAPerformance here in the next day or two. Still want me to pick you up those motor mount inserts and split some shipping?
 
Yeah dude. That'd be sick. just the inserts for now. we'll see how those do and than if not move up to the full out mounts.
 
Hey Garret, is your 20g a 6sl2 right? is it polished? And if you haven't ordered that stuff from MAP yet, can you get a hallman pro boost controller and i'll just pay you cash?
 
Sure thing man, did you want the Hallman in Black, Blue, Red, or Purple?

And yes, its an FP 20g 6sl2 turbo, and they no longer do polished compressor housings anymore, however it is a "chrome" finish ceramic coating. It looks amazing.
