lifter problem i think?????

okay i have a 95 eclipse GST with a 97 GST motor in it, the motor only has 20,000 miles on it, and it started ticking so i thought okay maybe it is the common mitsubishi lifter tick, but now it is like a horse is troting on my hood after i get it to about 2500 rpm, its sounds like its coming from the head so could it be that i have a bad lifter???? it doesnt sound like its coming from the lower half of the motor at all so i am not too worried about that, but any info would be appreciated thanks

You could pull one spark plug wire at a time to confirm it's not coming from a rod bearing. The noise will stop if it's piston or rod related.

Then do a compression check, if all is good there you will have to pull the valve cover for cam, follower, and valve assembly inspection.

Is the engine running rough?

okay i cant really do a compression check right now or take spark plugs our or w/e because i have my turbo off because my exhaust manifold is cracked so , but it almost seems like if has to becoming from lifters??? i just don know, and also if anyone knows where i could find a 2G exhaust manifold for a turbo that would help too?????? thanks
