Lets eliminate the turn signal noise, oh yeah!

Ok this may be very stupid to some of you but oh well. I was wondering if any of you knew how to eliminate the turn signal clicking sound we all hear in all cars, for a 92 Eclipse?

Pretty sure you can't because it is the relay doing the clicking, just like the fuel pump relay and such.

without that clicking sound, I'd probably drive all day long with my left blinker on.

Return the signal lever to its middle position. Shuts it right up. Also tends to get the people around you to stop honking, and pointing at the clouds with one finger.
There used to be an aftermarket TS relay that played Elvis....

It is definitelty gonna take me a few days to bring my iq back up now... thanks alot man

I *think* it's the relay clicking as it switches power, but there may be something else in there making extra noise so that you know the turn signal is on.

Why would you want to get rid of it? Unless you drive with your turn signals on, it's not much of a bother. Turn your music up a bit and you won't even hear it.

If you can still hear that, your fuel pump/exhaust/engine are to fvcking QUIET!!

Thanks for the feedback. Well, 2/3 of the time I drive with music on and I can't hear the turn signal noise. But during that 1/3 of the time I like to cruise and just hear the turbo/bov as clear as I can, you know how it is The turn signal clicking just irritates me during those times and if you are too dumb to see the turn signal light flashing to remind you its on, you need your license revoked.

Actually, if youre too dumb to turn off your turn signal, you should be shot in public. To enjoy a quiet ride, turn off the motor.

Hehe, good call on the public shooting. I'm not lookin for a silent ride, as if there were such a thing in a dsm. I love hearing the engine/exhaust/turbo, I just don't like the turn signal clicking, usually at idle, idle is where it bothers me the most. It's minor and nitpicking I know, I just wanted to throw out the question.
