leaking downpipe

I have a 95 tsi awd. the downpipe has been leaking for a while now. I was wondering if this could cause a loss of power, or if it has any other effects .

A leak post turbo will not really effect output power, but pre turbo will. since the Downpipe is leaking and it is after the turbo it will only increase noise.
