laptop screen?

hey this sounds ghetto, but I have this old laptop and I was wondering if its possible to take just the screen from it and hook it up to a PS2, dvd etc?? i know its prolly a long shot, but just wondering.....

They are expensive and hard to work with. Last time I looked at this an LCD -> VGA adaptor was around $300. Then you need the adaptor that goes from VGA to RGB which you can buy at most electronic stores. Not worth all the hassle IMO.
