hello guys!
I have finaly decided to keep my 7 bolt that had a spun rod bearing and I am lookin for all your advices what to do to keep it running good. I will be putting in a new crank, bearings and I was thinking of getting eagle rods as I am not positive if my rods are ok to use after spun bearing. All the bearings were in pretty bad shape in my engine so there must be some problem with oil flow I think. Stock oil pressure gauge never showed me any problems tough. Should I block the oil squiters thingies or something like that to get better oil pressure? any other suggestions? should I replace the oil pump just in case?
ok, thanks for you time and sorry for spelling, I am from europe uknow;)

Here is some advice coming from a person who built a 7bolt with all the tricks only to have it spin another bearing. If you have to keep the 7 bolt, then put a 4G64 crank in it and make it a 2.3L. Otherwise put a 6 bolt in it or be prepared to do it again. If you want more details about my 7 bolt experiences and what I tried to prevent CW then check out my site.

thanks jeff,
its just that where I live it is impossible to find 6bolt engines and doing that 2.3L thing would be even harder. I am not building a race car so I am thinking may be I get lucky(haha) and my new 7bolt will hold up my dayly driving + some occasional racing with my friends.
Comeon guys there must be some 7bolt engines that have survived rebuilding! should block oil squirters or no? anything else to consider?
