okkkk i just bought a 1992 Eagle Talon TSI 5spd. The car looks great very well maintained but.... few problems needs new driver side mirror needs some minor body work( plasitc moldings) needs new CV joint and tie rod end. Also it doesnt like to go into st after the car has been driven for a few miles... it is really anoying i was told to put it into 2nd let out the clutch a lil then go back to first...*sigh* and finaly the windows dont wanna go up AT all...i picked it up for only 1900 second owner!!!!! STOCK other than K&N intake. I also have a few questions like what motor is this( i know its the 4G63) 6bolt or 6 bolt? and what is the difference????? and finaly after i get everything fixed ### size exahust should i go with? 2.5 or 3?... all positve imput is apperecitated(sp???? First things First, Start here: Tech Guide: 1G 4G63t Upgrades - DSMtuners

Second, get cv joints and axles all fixed driver side mirror etc. if body work can wait then take care of all necessary things first..

Thirdly, you probably need a new tranny, does it not wanna go in or does it go in sometimes then pop out.. chances are if it pops out when you release off the clutch to try and get going then your in need of a new transmission.. If it just doesnt wanna go in it may just be you need a new clutch your release bearing might be just slightly off..

and last but not least when your ready to start modding tech guides will give you a good idea of what you want to do.. and if you have questions.. well this is what all of us are here for not to mention forum searching helps a lot will answer a great percentage of your questions before you have to ask.. hope this help and welcome to the club!!!

ok yea the body can wait all i really need is to clean the passenger side skirt buy two new clips and some 3m tape. now when i put it into gear it stays in...iam thinkin it maybe just an ajustment of some sort havin to do with the shift linkage maybe? maybe just old?? O and iam goin from a 06 Cobalt SS Superchaged to this so i have ALOT of learnin to do LOL thx everyone

good choice to go with this car you just got. is it AWD? i went from an 06 wrx to my 92 tsi AWD :thumb:

someone correct me if im wrong, if the build date is early 92 its a 6 bolt, if its late 92 than its a 7 bolt. if your missing the tag on the door then get under your car and look at your oil pan, if it bulges out toward the driver side cross member its a 6 bolt, if not then its a 7 bolt.

the stickers in the door jam are near perfect! it even has the one that says DSM o and its just FWD :( but hey iam happy
