well this weekend i decided to go check out some popular street racing spots in the industrial areas around town. i pulled up and found a semi large group of around 50-60 cars and alot of people and this guy walks straight up to me and asks me if i want to run my car. i asked him wat his car was and he showed me it was a nice blue WRX. and then i asked him wat was done to it and i could see his exhaust and stuff like that. he told me he had full 3" exhaust intercooler piping and he was running around 18-19 pounds of boost. when he told me this i was skepticle about racing becuase all i have was a big16g, full intercooler pipe system, 1g blow off valve, K&N filter and some free mod stuff plus i was only running 12-13 PSI on my setup. After i told him what i had he pulled out his Quartermile time which was 13.9 on our local raceway track. so i was like ummmm im gonna get beat but what the hell.... well i pulled up to the line and we had a flagger start us off ... HE took the lead from 1st cuz of his AWD he was about 3 car lengths in front right off the line my 2nd gear which was boosting a solid 13psi caught up to him and then my 3rd just pulled so hard until i was 3 to 4 car lengths ahead of him i reached about 115MPH then hit my HAZARDS. after he told me he misshifted 2nd gear so he made me go again but the next race i launched way better and whooped him even worse. we raced a total of 3 times and the 3rd time he said he launched perfect and he was beat fair and square and said i had a faster car straight up.... i didnt believe this that would mean i would have to be somewhere around 13.5 or 13.6 quarter time MY QUESTION IS,,,, WOULD THIS BE POSSIBLE WITH MY MODS AND GOOD DRIVING??????? i am going to the track this next upcoming 2 weekends and will post my times... P.S. I was raced a NEON SRT4 twice which i beat around 3 car lengths if this helps. would mid 13s be possible with my current setup????? i run 93 octane and i know i can drive pretty good, im just shocked cuz i thought i needed more supporting mods such as exhaust and more boost... any insight and critizism is welcome i live in wichita kansas its about 500ft above sea level
