I may as well jump right to the point. I picked up an intake manifold the person claims to be one of Magnus's first 2g manifolds. I've spoken to a few people around here, one claims it is a knock off, another claims it is legitimate.

The guy i bought it off of told me it was one of the first smim's Magnus produced for the 2g. before they brought in velocity stacks and engraving them.

So im asking if anyone of you may be able to tell

Looks cheap compared to magnus stuff, I wouldn't run it. All tho I have seen magnus old school welds break on there old smim, but I am pretty sure they stamped there logo on the side of it still. But it does look like one

NO DOUBT !!!! I should have one of those v3 bad boys arrive at my door this week !!!!!!! BECAUSE RACE CAR !!!!!

Yours its definitely a nice find for a timing belt job... It might be an early Magnus version or a copied version...

Could be re welded you can always try get it air flow tested/pressure tested. Or just run that bad boy until it break if it does even break, if not your good.

Here is one that I have had sitting around collecting dust. Hopefully I will get to clean it up and put it to good use soon...

Wow, bunch of professional welders/intake designers in here. Defiantly looks like an early magnus to me. It will make more power than stock, but has poor airflow distribution. 1 cylinder runs leaner than the rest by a bunch. Keep your tune safe.

There was a ebay manifold I saw a year or 2 ago that was a copy of a magnus.

No we just don't assume it is what it is until proven.:thumb:
