Is something wrong with my 2g? HELP!

ok, i just bought a 95 talon for my wife, and it seems like it runs out of steam at about 5 grand. it pulls good in first and second, but in third, it pulls hard to about 5k, then seems to kinda plataeu. it keeps pulling, but not nearly as hard as first and second. is this normal, or should it pin me in the seat until redline? maybe im expecting too much from this lil 4 banger.... anyone?

if its a 2g turbo with t25.. the t25 has no top end what so ever..

Guess he doesnt want answers, it it is n/t, go figure, they have no steam at all, if it is 2g, it has a t-25 as stated above, and i believe they run out of steam right around 5500-6500 RPM's

just read your replies....doh! i forgot to state that the car is a 95 awd turbo 5 speed with 70,000 miles. it sounds like what im seeing is normal, as it runs out of steam at about 5500to 6000 depending on the gear im in. would a 14b cure this? and if so, could somebody kindly point me in the direction of a thread or two detailing the swap?

hmm.., I would guess that it would cure it, alot of people on here do the swap, just search for 14b on here, then go to dsmtrader.com and find one, or somewhre near you.

Yeah your definatly going to fall off on top end with the T25. That turbo is horrible for any type of top end. If you want more top end from that T25 go 3" turbo back exhaust and high flow cat. Better yet if you can get away with it ditch the cat. I gained 1 second off my ET and several mph just by doing the downpipe and testpipe at 2.5". If you never intend to upgrade the turbo you could go 2.5" and save some money.
