Ok, here is my situation I got this block from a fellow it originally had a MLS
But I installed a Composite HG Ran it for a year with a 20g at 30psi later blew
Installed A1 studs with metal on bigger turbo(fp green) since the first day It was pushing coolant. ran it until at finally poped.
now I measured the deck with a feeler gauge and straight edge everything checked out . BUT the surface is flat and the deck to the touch is not as "mirrow finish" please give me some input and advise

Im really hoping if I go composite it would hold 30 plus psi
I already searched on how to get it to seal better, o ringed block redeck ECT I know what to do for next time
for now I would like to know if my current surface would get by with MLS or stick to composite
And if I do stick to composite how much abuse would it take with the A1 studs

Here is What i usually do to this poor car

E85 1600cc
30 plus
HX 35 7 blade

9.1 to 1 compression
here are the pics thank you

Take a picture of it. It's impossible for anyone to tell you without seeing it .

I definitely wouldn't use a mls with that. A composite should seal just fine though.

When you say "It should seal right" do you think it will seal 30 psi?
I just wanna clarify

The block has been "rol-loc" cleaned

See the swrils in the deck surface.

I would not use a MLS until the deck surface has been prepped properly.

How is the surface on the head?

I mad him ^^^ Kchaazz pull his just build short block apart so I could deck his block for a composite gasket, beacuse I did not like the way it looked.
