What should I do? My talon put out 304whp at 20psi. I thought that it was pretty low considering the work. Could someone please give advice, it would be greatly appreciated.

MODS
Ported & Polished Head
1mm oversized valves
J&E 9:1 pistons
eagle h beams
VPC GCC 660 chip
660 injectors
255 fuel pump
AGPs L2R
Big Spearco FMIC
ported 2g manifold
tial BOV
Vic Perf o2 housing 2.5inch
tial 40mm waste gate
N1 down pipe no cat
N1 exhaust

Im thinking I should be making more power what can I do? Is it that the L2R is crap?

Was this on pump gas or race gas, the L2R is known to accel at boost pressure of 25psi+ on race gas where a 50-trim will give you more power on pump gas.

Crank the boost and see the power gains go up alot more.

Well let's see here.

I need a dyno graph with A/F curve. I need a log that shows me timing advance, knock sum, etc.

What cams are you running with your "ported and polished 1mm oversized valve head"? Degreed?

There are a couple of cars that dyno'd at or around 400whp on pump. One did 411 and one did 390 at 20psi on 93 octane on the old L2R. 25-27 psi on race gas most of our cars put down 425-440whp and trapped from 117-124 in the 1/4 mile.

Remember throwing a lot of mods on a car does not mean that you will instantly put down 400 hp. There will be a lot of tuning needed over a long period of time.

Feel free to email me at [email protected] your graphs and logs.

Good points Ben, we need to see your dyno graph and *at least* logs showing timing advance. MODS+ boost don't blindly=HP. Also make sure you don't have any boost leaks. Also be sure above not having any boost leaks your motor is healthy.

Your right you should be making more power than you are however the L2R is known to make good power even on pump gas so something is not right.

DO a boost leak check, don't just assume it's ok. I assumed and was running 13.0's and fixed my leaks that I didn't think existed and went to 12.5's the very next event which would be a large jump in power.

The other thing is timing. If your not getting good advance by WOT then your HP will really suffer, along with being overly rich. Does your power peak early and drop off hard or does it just go up slow and never really seem to be good anywhere?

You have a VPC GCC combo so boost leaks will not be quite so critical however like everybody else said you will need to show us a log and a dyno chart or something to give you better advice. If your only getting 16-17deg of timing at wot then your HP will definatly be there when you get that up.
