Apparently not. It's asked about twice a year, but so far I've not seen it done.

A lot more than the engine will ever stand. Don't concern yourself. I'd expect the IC is good for an easy fifty PSI. The piping couplers will let go first.

Hey! I've got a fan on the back of my SMIC :)

Is it a good thing? Depends. It's actually a little bit of airflow restriction at speed, BUT it keeps the airflow moving while stopped. It definitely helps at autox events. Drag strip is mixed result 'cause it interferes during the run, but you get the IC cooled off before the next run instead of it possibly still being warm (if you're running with a small group like we usually have, you pretty much come off the track and drive right back on). Rally and road race it doesn't matter either way because the IC is way too small to begin with.

2g IC is really only good for 250hp. Pumping 400 through it heatsoaks it VERY, VERY fast.

i had a puller fan on the stock galant ic, which is tiny. it helped out a lot, escially at low speeds. at idle, i could feel it, and it was way cooler than without. BUT, water injection blows a fan out of the water. WAAAY better.

I'd bet it's not even a restriction. I'd expect the fins are ten times the flow restriction than a few fan blades on the back of the IC would be.

You're the first one I've heard of who's doing it.

i run a spal 7.5 i think the fan will pull 400 cfm i wanted to keep my stock fog lights so i put the fan back there and i did not even have to trim the panel this seems to work really well for me i do have the fan hooked up to a switch so i can turn the fan on and off i think that any time you are doing air to air heat trans. you want as much air as possible going across the surface this will increase efficiency.
