Just thought it was somewhat funny that somewhere out there "Honda-Boy" is trying to do an engine swap and realize that he needs an Integra engine "because they are speedy" ROFL

Wouldn't it just be easier, cheaper, and a little less illegal to find a :dsm: , :talon: , :laser: , turn up the boost and beat any '89 civic w/an Integra engine in it???

And who are the sorry @sses stealing '93 Fleetwoods :barf:, now the S4 I can understand :rocks:

Funny stuff, but I raced a shitvic (civic) hatch that had a b20 block from a Honda CRV (suv) and the head of a integra gsr twin cam vtec. I'll tell you what... That little fvcker hauled ass! First time he beat me with my 90 turbo laser. lots of mods too. boostin at 12. So when I raced him the second time I put the boost at 15 and raped him, but still he gets my respect! :thumb:

What people need to realize is car theifs dont steal cars to drive them, they steal them to strip parts and resell them on the black market. So a smart theif steals popular cars because its easy to find a buyer for the parts not to go speeding around in the car.

They'll steal cheap cars over expensive cars, because they know the old rusty '89 Accord sitting on the side of the road has a lot less protection (Alarm, owner's paranoia of it getting stolen, etc), than the '05 Viper in Mr. Bob's driveway.

Actually the article doesn't say the Integra is stolen because it is speedy..it just says many of the cars on the list are 'speedy'.

My girlfriend and I were watching CNN and saw this, the reporter said in reference to the integras:

CNN Reporter said:
Police have stated that street-racers target these cars for their super-fast engines

We laughed for the next 5 minutes.

Actually no they wont steal cheap cars over expensive ones, its doesnt matter about the value of the car, it matters whether or not they can get rid of parts off the car. They arent going to steal a 89 accord because no one will want the parts. They steal cars that are popular, and the parts are interchangable. They dont steal Vipers because there is no underground parts sales for Vipers because they arent popular cars and usually dont need parts.

Anyway, notice how there are no dsm's on the list? I guess all the theives know how tightly knit the dsm community is and realize they cant drive the cars or even strip them for sale without the owner finding about it pretty quick.

No, they don't steal them, because they either wouldn't make it to the chop shop without breaking down, or they can't get them started. ROFL

took everything... even my fuel pump.... seats. door panels. engine of course.. system... tv's body kit and even my corny altezzas... I was so mad but i just think of it as everything has a purpose... maybe i would've gotten really hurt in a accident... so i just leave it to god and let him handle things...

Ever go to the integra type r forum??
Every other week theres a new post about their car getting stolen. These guys never drive there cars anywhere without keeping an eye on it. Yet people will still steal it right out of there garages and crazy stuff. Gotta feel for them

I bought a 2000 honda civic SI and it got stolen and never found. The same night they stole my car, a couple of friends of mine saw it driving in the same neighborhood that I lived. Those punks actually circled the block several times while I was kicked back inside my apartment watching t.v. My friends thought it was me driving and wondered what I was doing.

Had a lot of money into that one. All wings west and aerogear parts. I bet those punks had fun with my full bottle I had just filled up too. Nice little 75 shot for their cruising pleasure  :notgood: Never did I heard the alarm go off.

A couple of months later I went and bought another 2000 civic SI and left that one pretty much stock. Man, it's been 3 years and I'm still mad about that

Keep in mind: those same shitnozzles telling you about "why" the Integras are "popular among thieves" are the ones telling you about our wars, our enemies, our politicians, our styles, our morals and our ethics. They tell us which music is better, what movie made the most money (NEWS?), whether we should pay ten middlemen for everything we use, what the ecology of the plant's doing and whose fault it is, and on and on and on and on and on.

Cars are stolen for as many reasons as there are punks. My Supra was taken, the factory mags swapped-off for another set of factory mags, and burned. It was stolen only for the $200 worth of new Dunlops that were on it.

defiant? a supra?

integras are the top stolen cause of the kiddie punks who think its the holy grail of imports.

its a very nice car that "could" have potential given the right person behind the wheel. its a whole hell of a lot better than any civic, and is relatively easy to do stuff to. and usually the ones who gawk at it in their pubescent glory are the ones who would throw morals out the door for one. its the asshole punks who dont care about someone elses hard work that ruin it for everyone else.

its sad that one of the slowest cars in stock form on the road today are the most stolen. maybe its cause theres such a market for even stock parts(you can sell the base engine+ecu/harness for a good amount). while my buddy was into hondas, i did some research, and stumbled upon a underground of honduh trading. there are actually people whos lives evolve around the buying/selling of hondas and their parts. who eat, breathe and sleep jdm mad tightness. who will scrounge junkyards to complete what, in their minds is a super street monster, but to us would be considered a waste of time and money. youd be suprised on how easy it is to find whole motors upon which the seller has no idea where he got it from, or has had it so long its literally covered in dust. god im glad the dsm world is much more civilized.

In the Cleveland area, stolen DSMs are a big problem. Thier was a ring of people doing nothing BUT stealing DSMs. Over 20 dsms where stolen in a year, and they got alot of the cars from people on the Cleveland DSM list.

do yourself a favor...

1. never pop your hood and show what you got (even if STOCK)

2. never tell anyone what you are getting, installing or whatever.

3. If you race someone and lose or win, still don't spill the beans about whats under the hood.

You will never know who has a eye on you... it can be your closest friend... or your worst enemy... People do crazy things when money is involved and also when people are horny LOL but thats a different story.
