i have a 97 gst all stock and i am looking to get an injen intake and either a greddy or turboxs bov. does anyone know if the Injen IS1891P would bolt right on with a TurboXS H34 bov that comes with the adapter kit to my car? i dont want to do any welding or drilling, i am trying to find something that will just bolt on.

another question is, the H34 is good for like 10-25psi but i am only gonna be running it at stock settings till i get a boost controller, is that bad or should i maybe get a TurboXS type-s?

where is the best reliable & cheap place to order parts online? i used to know a good place but i lost the link.

i found that greddy offers the type-s bov with flanges for my car, if i got that one, would i need the injen intake for aftermarket bovs or the one for stock bovs? technically it would be for stock since i am not replacing anything, is that right?

right, there is 2 different models of intakes that injen offers for my car, one for if u have stock bov and one if u have aftermarket bov. whats the difference? beats me.....thats why i am asking which one i would need if i got the greddy type-s with flange for my car....

here is a link to the 2 different ones.....

...hope that helps....:)

oh ok...well, do u want to vent your bov to the atmosphere or not? if u do get the one without the bov return. if u plan to recurculate, get the one with the bov return.
i have the one without the bov return because i have an aftermarket bov...check out my gallery.

no u wouldnt...
but just to be on the safe side, id get the intake with the bov return, the one that says 'stock bov'
cuz every car reacts differently when u vent.
and if u ever want to vent your bov, just plug up the hole.

1g bov- $50
brode ui/c pipe- $75
k&n fipk- $90
cut dump tube- free

that will save you an ass load of money for your boost guage and MBC, which are more important than an intake pipe.

yea man $500 for that is pretty high. Get a Trasnlator, that is where you use a 3in GM mad and with that you can vent to the atmosphere and not have to worry about a bad idle.

I completely agree. In the past few months there has been a huge development in the DSM world that is now becoming mainstream. There is a company that makes a translator for our car so we can use a GM MAF. What is even more awesome is that it has the ability to be used like a super AFC.

What you may like even more is the fact that you can run a blow through setup, meaning that the MAF will be positioned after the turbo and after the BOV near the throttle body. This setup allows you to vent your BOV to the atmosphere without any problems.

If I had the coice I would go with this route when I started modding my car, because now I had to buy all this stuff after the fact and spend more money. Your car will be able to flow more CFM and you can flaunt your BOV to people. When you start getting the big mods, you will need what the MAF has to offer. Oh did I mention that you will hear your turbo spool like mad with the blowthrough? You could even run with no filter on the turbo at the track, but I don't recommend it. Too much FOD. Not enough $$$$$$$$$$$ to buy a new turbo LOL.

I suggest the HK$ SSQBOV with a dejon tool upper IC pipe and a Dejon tool non-MAS intake 2 3/4" in diameter.

Check out the sound of the HK$ BOV in this forum I believe, at the top in a sticky thread called BOV Sounds. I know a guy with the TurboXs RFL BOV and it sounds alright. It ain't a unique sound. Just a loud rush of air really.

wouldnt that end up costing me more tho? the translator alone is $200....

but lets just say i was gonna go that way, what would i need? one of the dejon tool 2 1/4" UIP with the flange for the bov i would get. the bov of course, and what else? whats a K&N FIPK?

also if i did get that translator and stuff, would i still pass emissions?

Dude he just wants an intake and bov. So Dan do what you were going to do and get the Injen intake made for stock bov's, then get a greddy type-s with the flange kit (its direct bolt on). Then keep using the stock dump tube with the greddy type-s. Venting to the atmosphere just to get sound is stupid, you will run pig rich and it will also run like crap.
