My car came with no radio, which is fine, but on the radio there are wires that I need to splice together with wires on the car. Yes these wires come in a harness-box thing that plugs into the back of the radio and can be removed, but I can't find the loose wires to splice together, or any box-things that would plug into there. What do I do? I can get pictures tomorrow..

Go to a Hi-Fi/automotive radio shop and get an adaptive harness connector that you can wire the radio up to this adaptive connector, which in turn will be compatible with your stock radio connector setup.

Let the dealer know what vehicle you have and he can get you the right adaptive connector.

Easiest way to go when I've done installs for customers with aftermarket radios and wants to use the device through their stock speaker setups.

Saves time and money in the long run.

You need an aftermarket wiring harness like this:

Just match the colors on that^^ harness to the harness that plugs into your aftermarket decks harness, and then plug the harness above into the cars harness.

Do you have an amp under the seat? If you do and want to use it you'll need another adapter as well called a Mitah adapter. It's a 8 pin din cable to 4 rca's.

I have a harness sort of like that one, but the ends of the wires are stripped and had to be removed when I took it off an old car we are selling. They were spliced with the other car's wires. Will this work? The wires themselves are like a foot long before they are stripped,

You should just post pictures. Does the harness you're talking about plug into the back of your aftermarket deck or the stock deck from your old car?

It plugs into the aftermarket deck, and yes I forgot to take pictures, I said in the OP that I would post them tomorrow. I know it's hard to understand what I mean without pictures. I'll post them as soon as I can.

Okay, well you need another harness that plugs into the car harness. After you get that then you splice the wires on the harness you have that goes into the back of the aftermarket deck into the harness you need to buy. Then you plug it in.

Case closed. I found a wiring diagram and made proper connections. It's all up and running now. Thanks for the help.
