I know there are thousands of post for injectors but mine is different. I have an idle problem with this situation too. I have a 95 TSi with a 97 TSi swap with 70,000 on the engine.

The injector in the passenger side of the engine seems to be ticking. I took the rail off and cleaned all injectors but I moved the ticking injector to the driver side of the rail. The same passenger side is still ticking with the freshly swapped injector. The tick is only at low rpm and stops when throttle is opened a small amount. I also sprayed all vacuum lines and intake with carb cleaner with engine running to see if there was any variation in idle consistency.

The bad idle stayed the same with no changes which means no leaks. I checked all plugs and wires too and placed the best looking plug in the ticking injector side and it made no difference. Would the coil be the next thing to check and if not what should i do? Its like beating a dead horse :beatentodeath:

You sure its coming from the injectors and not from the head? Lifters are prone to ticking in dsm's. I bet thats what you're hearing. Search for lifter tick and see if it describes what you're hearing. If it does pick up some new lifters: 4G63T Mitsubishi Lash Adjusters

Put your finger on the injector. If you can't feel when it ticks then it is not that. Also see if the feel goes with the sound or if they happen at different times.
