In need of lightning quick response!!!!

I just finished putting JB weld on two cracks on my valve cover. The problem is that i need to drive to Tampa as soon as possible today to go back to school. How soon can I drive the car. A guy at the hardware store said that it sets up in about an hour. The package says allow 15 hours before using. What should I do??? Will sitting the valve cover in the sun help it dty quicker??? Help!!!

i would say to wait as long as possible and then go. make sure to get a new valve cover asap though. not sure if setting it in the sun is going to help much but its worth a try. check it periodically during your drive to make sure its not leaking and take some extra quarts of oil with you.

there's different kinds of jb weld, if u got the quick weld then its supposed to be like hardened in an hour and totally cured within like 4 or something. so use that stuff. I used the regular jb weld and let it sit overnight and its held for almost 2 years

Just buy more oil and let it half ass dry.


Or drop out of school. It should be fine though.
