Physical position is not how to check it.Yeah I've checked it still in same position as always and won't move when I try to screw it
Lol speaking of I found this after I postedVacuum leaks cause a lot of idle surges. You could do a boost leak test.
Yeah I am. It ran fine after it warmed up but I knew I had a boost leak somewhere but didn't expect it to be a hole in my pipeAre you running maf? If so I'm surprised it even runs aha
That's not how this works.Lol right on. Anyway ordered new ic piping and gonna bend the bracket that caused the hole. Maybe it'll fox my idle issue that was a lot of air escaping
First off f*** you. I had a blown coupler that I thought was my boost leak I got a new one and figured it was fixed. Then when it was still idling funny I started tearing stuff apart and came across the hole in the pipe. I never claimed to.be the all knowing DSM God gtfoh with your bullshit
Thanks manLol
But good thing you found the issue out. Any further high idle/surge should result in a Boost leak test to eliminate possible leaks.
Oh I expect it from the dsm community . I'm.never selling my car most the stuff done to it was already done when I bought it. And mostly eBay parts. Working on replacing all that with quality parts. Slowly but surely it'll get where I want it.Lol. Keep your cool kiddo, you gotta expect some grief if the giant hole in a pipe under the hood didn't throw a red flag at you.
I'm a firm member of save the dsm society so my advice on this forum is always keep your car stock, it's much easier to work on and re sell later
Best of luck, keep posting and I promise I'll cut back on the asshole attitude, just slightly though

Yeah man I got timing belt and tensioners changed just a couple months ago I ain't all that brave enough yet to mess with timing I'm still learning and most of the things I have learned came from this site and I appreciate all input... Even sarcastic smart asses jkjk I really do appreciate all the help thoughThat's how we all got started. If you can thoroughly comprehend and perform a timing belt and tensioner set on a dohc 4g63 motor you will separate yourself from a car guy to a gear head. These motors are very precise, but have never been treated like they should be. You'll notice the active contributing members here have multiple cars that they save and sell to keep the community going.
The best purchase you can make is literally to buy a full set of factory service manuals for a 1995-1998 eagle talon on eBay. You can get all 3 manuals for $28 shipped and they are thick thick books. Pauleyman and maybe 2 or 3 other members help this site really stay alive, so even if you are going eBay mods just do your research and do it right.
I'm sure you have seen the dsm face book pages out there, the community is really really, uhm, "uninformed" and it's a complete waste of my time to explain daily why an eBay 16g isn't the same as an evo 3 16g
I use my dsm as my daily driver go anywhere car. I focused on my car (my build) to fix every maintenance piece I could find on the car at 110k miles. I plan to hand the car down to my children eventually. I don't need it staining my driveway in the mean time suprisingly the t25 kick in rush hour traffic is more fun than my camaro ss
Funny thing about building project cars. You build them right and they don't break, and guess what you're going to need another project car. Lol
