idle surge??

when im driving and go to a like i dont down shift instead i put it in neutral and use the brakes. when i do this my idle goes up to like 1500 and drops over and over again is this refferd to as "idle surge"???

That sounds like its surging. You can check your vacuum lines, idle motor, or maybe intake system for leaks.

and if that doesnt fix the problem get ready to kill your fiav, i just had to do it to mine and now it idles better
