i have 2 blocks both are 7bolt 4g63.

not 100% sure on the years. but i want to make sure i get the right bearings for the block. one needs to be machined the other looks ready to go but i will still have the machine shop go over it.





first block was pulled from a 98 eclipse gsx. although i ordered the 98 bearings and i returned them because built4g63 told me i has the 97 style block.

this motor detonated^^^


second block was a bare block picked up from some guys trunk :nono:

Correct me if I'm wrong but I think that's a spilt thrust bearing block
 
sorry the second one. it has a 3 piece thrust
 
Looks like the second block has the split thrust main installed, but should take the saddle bearing thrust.

I say this because the third main of girdle looks machined with the step for the saddle bearing.
