I Can Not Decide..........help!

OK let me first start off saying i make about $280 a week but only use $50 a week for liveing cost now that you have a ball park figure of what i have to work with..

and knowing that i will not be happy unless i build my car up to 450-500hp plz infrom me about some of the pros and cons of each turbo.

I MUST have something dureable.
I want something that spools quick as snot, but has great top end power too.
I want it to be easy to install (not haveing to buy alot of crap to install it)

I have narrowed the list down to the fallowing

20G
L1R
SBR-GT10
SBR-GT12

I will be doing a good bit of drag raceing though, which makes me wonder why on SBR's site it says the GT 10-12's are not for drag? Is this becouse they are easy to over spool or what? becouse something that can make that much HP and spools faster than a 20G REALY intrests me...


P.S I am also upgreading my ehxaust in a week or so, so this is why I would like to find out what turbo would best sute me now. thx guys!

Your mod list says stock are you aware of the supporting mods required to run any of the turbos you are considering? but you are headed in the right direction with slowboy racing. Mike will cut through the BS turbo of the week nonsense and help you choose a turbo best suited for your needs. go back about 6-8 months and look at what everyone's dream turbo was.... Now notice that everyone has or is dumping what was conceded to be the greatest turbo ever, for more realistic setups. whats the point of this rant you ask...... dont buy into jive and misleading hype or promotional posting, i did and got burned.go with what works.

yea i know the mods i need and in the up comeing weeks i will have them thats why im looking for a new turbo now..


come on though more ppl have to have something to say than this.. I would welcome all openions and anything you can tell me about each turbo as long as theres no smack talking

SBR makes good turbos and has good teck support. I have heard great things of the L1R though too. I guess it spools so so fast, probably better for autocross though.

I voted l1r, cause its a BADASS turbo. If i could go back to stock, thats what I would do.

But, another great option not listed is a t3/t4 kit. I would not do a bolt on GT turbo besides the l1r.
