How to remove passenger airbag in 2G

Well, I opened my glove compartment and removed the all the bolts and screws that held the airbag in. Now I can't figure out how to remove the airbag itself from the "faceplate". I wanted to mount my AFC and Turbo Timer there, but it seems like there's no screws holding the airbag to the faceplate, only some bolts with no visible way of removing them. Anyone done this before or knows what to do?

Well, I tried that, but it seems that would bend/damage the faceplate that shows on the outside, which I don't want..

Thanx, but I just used a dremel tool to cut the damn thing off. Anyways, I have the Chilton repair manual? Does that help if I get sued? Lol.
