So tonight was my first night Racing at the drag strip...Now my talon is mostly stock
and Im not a great shifter, Im just learning still, But damn did i get some good reaction times..

my Best R/T was a 5111.
But my best run, Now after I did this run, I only ran once more, and dident really drop it but from like 2...
I droped it from like 4 1/2 On this run, I beat my friend in his 99 V6 3.8L camaro..

R/T = .6977
60 FT = 2.1023
330 FT = 6.1594
1/8 ET = 9.5212
1/8 MPH = 73.89
1/4 ET = 14.7702
1/4 MPH = 90.74

Does that sound okay, for a begging driver, first time ever at the track, my 4th run...

the rest of my times were like 15.2's

I can deffinitally do better, If I get a great reaction time. And Launch it from a decent rpm, and shift perfectly, maybe I can get a 14.2 or something. Cause I do bog shiftin into 2nd, I needed to match my speed and rpm better.

oh yeah, I also talked about that dude in the Neon...He was there....
But his car ####ed up pretty bad, after he ran a 17.9 and his car sounded like it was goin to die, He put his seats back in. threw his helmet in the car, and took off. I felt bad man. I hope his car is alright tho, I mean he loves that damn Neon

Don't worry about your R/T's, they do not matter. Focus on getting your 60ft's down to see more of an improvement! :thumb:

I thought that was you I saw there last night, I wasn't sure though. I made 3 passes best of 10.9@137, track prep was horrible to say the least. You really need to come out of the hole a lot harder then you whee last night if you want your times to drop.

damn, that was you? I have been talkin about you all day. Thats a beast you got there, I deffinitally couldent hang on to it.

I agree with John...You need to work on getting out the hole a little harder. Not to bad of a job tho, and yeah the track was in crappy condition. Just keep practicing. They also run on Sat. nights as well, and seem to prep the track a little better. In case you didn't know. I couldn't get back in the 11s for nothing. Guess it didn't help I was on bald tires tho. LOL New tires, and alot of tuning is in my future. (red 1g)
