How do you secure a tire jack in a 2G?

How do you secure a jack in a 2G? Looks like a holder to the left of the spare, but it just flops around in there. Anything to bolt it down. Thanks.

What I do (and I think is factory..?) is brace it against the spare-tire well on the left side of the spare (I think there is some sort of fitting there), then 'expand' the jack until it's pressed hard against the spare and the spare-tire compartment wall.

Actually you put the jack in and kinda "jack it open" to where it isn't completely flat in there and it will hold itself in place.


That's how mine is installed.

Ok got it. My jack aways just flopped around so I wasn't sure if it was even the right jack. Thanks.

Yea, when I first got my 2g, I couldn't figure out how to secure the jack either. I had to play with it for a while.
