How do you replace alternator?

Just wondering if there is an easy way to change the alternator on a 91 tsi, last time I changed it was about 4 months ago...it already is bad again (from Autozone just for peoples info), I should have known better.... and the last time I did it I took the radiator and fans out and did it that way but if anyone knows a better way please help. Thanks

I dont htink the radiator needs to come out. Just the fan on the side where the Alt. is. I just did the belts on my car today and dont see a need to take the radiator out.

No need to take the radiator out. I also use the "made in Mexico" autozone alternators. I hae been through three in the last 6 months. However that is what the lifetime warranty is for. When they rebuild them they do not rebuild the whole thing, its just whatever was wrong with it in the place... So i figure as long as I can keep getting free alternators it doesnt bother me any as it only takes me about 20 minutes to have the new one in. Although it sure does suck trying to drive somewhere when the alt. is going out

For a step buy step instructions pick up a Chilton's Repair Manual (or any shop manual for that matter)

Or if you want IM me I'll email you the instructions from mine.....
