1G How’s my oil pressure?

Just shimmed the nut for the oil pressure regulator on my OFH. Haven’t driven it yet. It’s fully warmed up in the video. Think it’s still roughly 5-10psi higher. Can I run it this way and will pressure change when I’m driving?

Looks good to me, I run 20w-50 and have about 20-25 psi at idle and it climbs very fast when the rpms go up.

Shoot, I will be cruising on the freeway at 3k RPMS and my oil pressure is hovering around the 65-70 mark! The relief port is ported and cracks open if I go much higher so that keeps it under control when I go 8k+.

That’s how mine was so that’s why I shimmed the nut. It wasn’t as high during breakin w 10/30.

Ive been debating trying the shimming as well, how many did you use?

2 x 1.5mm. It sucks we have to remove the cover. Wish someone made one with a 14mm nut on top.

It looks healthy to me. I don't think you need to lower the pressure more but I guess once you actually drive, the oil temp would be hotter than now and the oil pressure gauge would show a little bit lower number.

Wait, why do you have to remove the cover? I run the 90 OFH, is that what you run? I’m pretty sure I can do it without removing the cover.

Mines 92 and the timing cover gets in the way to put a wrench on it
