Hotshot or Greddy Headers?

Which Is better? Why?

Can't go wrong with either one. I'd get which ever one is cheaper.

I have no problems with my greddy header. even came with the stainless down pipe. I don't know how it compares to other headers but If I had to do it all over again I'd get the greddy all over again.

If you do decide to go with a stainless header be sure to wipe it down real good after its on your motor. get the finger prints off it because when you start your car the header will change color and your finger prints will be there for good.

I know that the greddy are 4-1 which will give you less low-end torque, but better top end. I dont know about the hotshot tho. If it is 4-2-1 then it will give you better bottom end torque and less top end.

I just bought a used hotshot header for $100.00 on ebay. Is there anything I should check before I put it on??

Check for cracks around the flange.

getting a header on our cars doesn't do a lot as far as HP gains go, more for airflow, you don't need to spend $450 on a greddy when a hotshot will do exactly the same for nearly 1/2 the price, get the hotshot...or even an OBX, both will perform the same as the greddy.

Hotshot is not a real name brand anymore. They are exactly the same as the typical Chinese headers from Ebay. Just buy those cheap ones and get them silver ceramic coated and they will be EXACTLY the same. Also, like has been stated in 2 different threads, be sure to read the dates before posting in a thread.

I can’t seem to figure out how to start a new thread/post myself, only type replies. And I know it’s an old thread, the hotshot is discontinued now and hard to come by. ;(

Just buy those cheap ones and get them silver ceramic coated and they will be EXACTLY the same. They are a real brand name, they are just discontinued. And seeing as they have the same pattern as most “Chinese” headers, they’re not the same. I have read the dates, however, I need to grasp at straws due to the fact these headers are hard to come by. I am unable to start my own new thread for some reason as I do not have the option. I need these specific headers, so if you do not have them yourself, simply allow me to keep looking peacefully.

I meant no disrespect, and I know that they were a real name brand. But there is something that you need to understand about 420a headers. They are all replicas of each other. No matter what name they make up for them, they're all the same. The links I sent you in the other post is literally the entire variation of headers currently available for the 420a. You can find over 100 brands that make them, but they are all copies of just one simple design. They sell replicas of the Hotshot headers for less than $60 on Ebay all day long. Don't believe me? Well look at a pic of the Hotshots and look at a pic of the Chinese ones, any of them, and they are exactly the same. Only difference is the Hotshots are ceramic coated. If you really want name brand then spend $150 on the Megan Racing, which are also Hotshot replicas that need to be coated.
