who in this forum has the most horsepower. me and my dad want to build a 500 horse monster and we want some input on what to buy

we have a tuning guide. though, it won't tell you what exactly you can buy to make that number. there isn't really a list of things to buy to get to that number. it all depends on how you build your setup (kind of hard to explain what i mean). there are so many different combinations of things you could go with. i'm sure you know that making that number isn't as easy as just slapping on parts either. tuning will be the main part of it.

I would go through the 400 hp tuning guide. get everything, then go from there. the tuning guide doesn't really give you specifics, but it is a start. I would also suggest getting a shop manual and reading through EVERYTHING so you know the car inside out, because unless you want to spend thousands on labor you are gonna have to do some repairs and installing yourself.

Mclerran55 has made over 500 ponies. Use the gallery, some people have posted dyno sheets. They have to be some decent numbers for someone to post.

just wondering semper, how old are you? you sound like i did when i was like 13 get yourself an all wheel drive DSM, then READ ALOT, spends hundreds of hours reading and reading, until you think your head is going to explode, then, at that point, you wont know 10% of what there is to know about DSMs, so keep reading more, trust me, ive spent MANY days sitting reading about DSMs for 12 hours at a time. best piece of advice (other than getting a car) is to research, and use the search button, its your best friend, and it will help you find almost anything you need to know. good luck man

Couldn't have said it better. I've read through a Chiltons repair manual, as much of the posts I can get to on any DSM forums sites, read through almost all of DSM.org's site(even though half the links don't work anymore, I guess Tod had enough with DSM's) and still don't know enough about the car to make it run right sometimes.
