hope i NEVER again need to take out a A/C compressor from a DSM!

Man, reading how everyone on tuners and talk took out their compressor in 30min-1hour gave me the balls to give it a try this morning at 9...and i didnt get done until 5:30pm!!! Man lifting the compressor up between the intake manifold and sidewall is like lifting a fat 300pound pig up a straw! I finally got it out and my car stopped making the wierd rattle the pully was making and it definetly does feel lighter up front. I believe the rattle was setting off the knock sensor at times cuz it felt like it was sluggish at the top of some gears. I left the bracket in there and line from the passanger wall... someday ill get around to do the rest. Definetly worth it if you have the time and actually 'know' what ur doing...30 mins...sheesh...i'd hate to do a job you guys do in a day!

I was going to try get it from the bottom though. got more space to play with. Ill see how it goes

its easy to take out the compressor. Just unbolt the brake master reservoir and the connectors that are bolted to the timming belt cover and it will come right through the top.
