hole in fire wall

hey guys im gonna put neons in my car and i need to know where the fire wall is behind the dash, thanks guys.

The firewall is the wall seperating you in the passenger compartment from your engine.
Do you mean you want a hole through the firewall? If so I can help you out. I have my boost gauge tube through my steering column boot. Just cut an X in it. No big hole and it works for a wire. Not sure about 1st gens but I think 2nd gens have another hole near the passenger side. I hope this is what you wanted.

you can cut thru any existing gromment at the firewall. or drill your onw hole, just be sure you do not drill into any lines or wire bundles. As for the stering colums, look under your dash, drivers side, you will see a 2 inch diameter metal shaft, go down till it disapears into rubber, poke and your done. As for the passanger side, just pull the carpet back a little bit up top. You should see it, really not that hard.

There is a little rubber plug that I went through right below the brake fluid resevoir, go down about 6" and its a little plug, just tap through that, I have FP rewire and boost gauge vaccum line running through it with lots of space to go.
