HKS SSQV question for 1g dsm

does anyone know if i can put a HKS SS on my 1g dsm without bogging when shifting or stalling at idle?

what about the apex dual chamber one with the red ring. will that work fine on the 1g's also thanks

If you use the recirc kit with the SSQV, you will be fine. Vent, and you will have the symptoms you described.

recirculate it and u shouldnt have any problems.. the recirculation piece is a couple of bucks. i have it on my 2g.. car runs better. but u lose all BOV sound except some very noticible flutter.. i ran it vented for a while and i didn't have any idle problems.. and bogging.. this was on the gst.. on the gsx however.. sometimes idle would drop.. EVERY CAR REACTS DIFFERENT i guess.. and my friend's 1g who has an hks ssqv vented has no problems with idle, bogging, etc.. however wen he vented his stock 1g.. he was having problems.. so maybe it was the bov.. but regardless if u have problems or not. im sure u know u will run rich due to the MAS.. so think aobut these things.. good luck..

as for the APEXi BOV.. i heard a lot of bad reviews about em and how they leak.. and can u even recirculate those? go wiht a HKS SSQV, Greddy Type S, or Crushed 1G..

i ran with the hks vented for a bit...it just burned a bit more gas like 30-50 miles less per full tank..every car reacts differently..the HKS are a bit more "safer" to vent due to their design...try it yourself and see what happens..if anything you can always buy the recirc. piece for 20 bux or so...i put it on when i got tired of the gas mileage...pz
