High school DSM'er need help!

i am in high school and this is my first car it has an ignition problem and it sat for like 10 years so any help is very much depreciated. it doesnt get spark and i tested the coil pack and it tested good and dont know what it would be

Test the power transistor. It is normally mounted on the intake and is flat and mounted to a piece of metal that is used as a heatsink.

After sitting that long, and I have some like that, I would also check all the ignition related wires to make sure Mr Rat/Mouse hasn't nibbled on anything.

Check out the ecu it could have bad caps, leaks, they do go bad.

I know you're in school and probably money is at a premium, but, if your car has sat for 10 years, I'd check not only all the ignition related wires, but go over every vacuum line, hose, wire, etc that you can, especially the ones that are hard to get to. I guarantee you'll have a few more repairs to make. Good luck with the DSM, though, and check back in and let us know when it's up and running!

i checked all the ignition wiring and it is good but the timing light is still not showing spark

Check your ecu for leaky caps as mentioned. Also test the cam angle sensor, power transistor and all your grounds.
