Hi all, just thought I'd start my first thread here with an introduction. My name's Mike and I just recently purchased a 1999 GSX with 14000 miles on it. Manual tranny, fully loaded, not ONE option spared. I felt like I got DAMN lucky, cuz it's rare to find a 99 GSX and even rarer still to find one with such low mileage. Anyhow, I bought it from this middle-aged guy whose wife was making him sell due to her recent childbirth. His loss, my gain! :thumb:

I just recently sold my old 1998 RS that was pretty much a huge rice-mobile, LOLz. It had the works: body kit, wing, 18'' rims, etc. You gotta forgive me though. That was my FIRST car and I was 17 when I got it (5 years ago). If anybody is curious to check it out, the link on AutoTrader is still valid. See it here:

Anyhow, just thought I'd say wazza to the forum members. You'll be seeing me 'round quite a bit from now on. Love this place, wish I'd found it sooner.

What's up? Nice RS you had there. Rice but just enough to keep it clean. From the pic that is. Alot of people do body kits, nothing to be ashamed of. I wouldn't but its all in your own personnel taste. Keep it clean with the GSX and you with deff. reap the rewards. Seems the more people try to do things to his/her car the more opt they are to being on jack stands.

Have fun and happy modding!
Nice find on that car. 14K is an awesome mileage to get a car at. It's broken in enough that it should be at peak performance, but it is hardly used. You'll have a lot more fun doings mods to this car. Because of the turbo, small mods make significant differences. Look around these forums for information on free mods so you can get started right away.
Thanks for all the love. I have one problem though. The guy garaged the car a lot, and for some reason a lot of moisture got under the car and corroded the ABS harness/hydraulic unit. I was wondering if anyone knows of a good place (besides local junk yards) to get one. The dealership wants an arm & a leg for the pair.
