Hepl Needed With Dip Stick Tube?

I think the tube that holds the dip stick is leaking oil where it meets the block. How do I take this out? Is this a common prob?

There is an O-ring on the dipstick tube where it goes into the block. That probably needs to be replaced. Take out the bolt that holds the tube to the block. You'll have to tap up on the tube from the bottom with a hammer and something to tap on. That will pop it out.

It has an O-ring on it. You may be able to silicone seal it from the top if you get it clean enough- just a small bead around the outside of the tube at the block. I don't think it'd have enough pressure on it to blow out.

I got it out, the o ring was hard as a rock and had a little crack in it. I just stuck anouther o ring on it and goobed rtv all over it so I know it wont leak. Thanks for the help guys
