Hey, I was wondering how well I'm doing for tuning..

timing is way too high. either you arent flooring it, or you are tuning at way too low of boost. your airflow is really low. do a 3rd gear pull..

It's for sure floored, it's in the log, the timing could be accounted for because I have the 'octane reset' feature. My boost is at 18psi. Ever since I got a DSMChip my airflow went down.. When I had stock chip on I'd be doing over 2200hz (watched AFC.)

so you have a dsmchip set for your injectors? is your safc close to zeroed out too? Thats some crazy timing and the ecu is seeing hardly any airflow, especially for 18psi, something doesnt look right.

Yep, 750cc.. My AFC is zeroed except at 6000 it's +2 and 7000 it's +5, I was starting to see knock right before I shift, but I got most of it out. Maybe a boost leak?

I was logging on MMCD/offshoot the other day, and it says I'm doing 1.88 G/REV and moving 36.18 LB/MIN of air at 4400rpm... Then at 4500 rpm it changes to 2.06 G/REV and only moving 1.41 LB/MIN it goes back up, but only to 23.41 LB/MIN. This could just be an error in the program, but I thought it might be worth mentioning.

Yeah, now that I think about it that makes more sense.

Just did my first log as well.. not a proper pull, but a rev in neutral (laptop battery is toast, shore power is my friend).

Timing had a high of 40, and my O2 was dropping from 0.08 to 0.04 and points south... has an exhaust leak, but with a reading that low, I'm guessing that the O2 is toast? Or would I only really get a good read on a third gear WOT run?

That is not too much timing at all, here in CO at 15-18psi I see 23degrees by 7K, no knock.

This guy with a 4g63 colt over at buschur made 440whp on a STOCK 6bolt with way more timing than what you are seeing. If you can tune well and look for knock very carefully, there is no problem seeing 20+ degrees advance.

i wasnt saying 23 degrees is way too much timing, although itd probably be better to only get 20 degrees or so. But i was saying that the timing is way too high overall, like how it only drops to 18 when it should drop to around 8 when the boost comes on. Looks like its due to hardly any airflow seen by the ecu.

Your timing is not way too high and your timing should not drop to around 8 when boost comes on. This may be true for a 2nd gen timing curve but not a 1st gen.

Here's a WOT log from my car, on stock injectors, stock mas and no fuel control. 16g@15psi

Looks like your chip does a very good job of retaining a stock timing curve with big injectors.

Update: Today I went out and checked my AFC and it does say 2x what my logger says.

That's beacuse Jeff likely knew you were using an AFC and programmed his 2X Karman feature into it.
