Help with GM THEFTLOCK radio

I want to install a AMP in my 96 cutlass supreme, i want to keep the stock radio (I like keeping my steering wheel controlls) question is, is there a way to keep from locking up the radio or if it does lock how do I unlock it? Any input would be appreciated. I have looked on chevy sites and found nada, thanks!

When the stereo theft locks, you need the code to unlock it.

You can take your vin# to a dealer and have them look it up.

I had a phone number to call which came with an aftermarket Monsoon CD player I installed in my ex's Sunfire...I'll have to dig around and see if I still have that info anywhere; it's likely written inside the cover of the service manual for the car.
