Help please

I haven't posted in a while because I've pretty much just been searching, but this one I cant seem to find...or maybe I'm searching wrong. So I have my 97 rs as my daily and its been doing fine runs great but all of a sudden there's an issue. When driving i can accelerate slowly without any problem but when under a load the rpms will just shoot up but the car wont move any faster. it only does this in 3rd, 4th, and 5th. And no I haven't been street racing or anything i actually tried it on the on ramp to i95 and then again in 4th when trying to pass somebody. I'm pretty new to cars but I'm learning so jus let me know what to check or look for. Any help is appreciated...oh about a month ago i put ngk plugs and wires in...thanks.

If it is a 5 spd then I would say it is the clutch going out.

Start with checking the clutch. Sounds like its time for an upgrade...aka its toast.

I will not be angry at you for breaking our language, however, this post is too unclear to diagnosis the problem. Maybe if you have a friend that speaks a little better English we could help. Good luck man

That is normal, and what the idle is supposed to do. The switch on the power steering pump signals the ECU to idle up to handle the increase in load at idle speeds.
