Ok so I have a 95 eclipse I converted to 5spd. I just put the motor in and had it running great but then it started to misfire and hesitate so the first thing I did was replace my coil cause the one I had was cracked so I figured maybe it got dropped and its bad now . So after I replaced the coil it ran fine. The next day I started it and it was doing it again. I think its the ecu but I dont want to spend money and get zero results so can someone maybe point me in the right direction. o ya my plugs n wires are good so I dnt think that could be it but idk

O alright I didnt know they did obd2 in 95.
So my cel codes are 12 36 55
36 is p0412 pulsed secondary air injection sylenoid circuit.
does anyone know what this is?

So I checked my spark plugs and my car is running lean. Number 1&3 are running hot and 2&4 not so hot. I could tell by the color my headers are turning cause theyre new. Im thinking my air fuel ratio is off but I dont have a guage to tell. Would bigger injectors help cause my block is bored to a 2.2l

First, don't worry about the cel 36. Its for a system on your car that should have been recalled and removed years ago.

Secondly, just be sure you plugged in your front O2 (or your front O2 isn't snapped).

I'm wondering if you have a break in a wire somewhere. You jostled the plugs and wiring around when you did the rebuild. You the jostled the wiring around when you changed the coil.

Check the wires at the plug and check the wires around the EGR tube (if you don't have an egr tube any more, then check the wire loom that USED to be around the egr tube).

And yeah, I hate that this is on a 95 :(

My wires all seem to be fine I checked it real good before I installed it. There seemed to be no cuts in the wires. When I got my new coil it plugged right in I havent hacked on this harness. Ive got a diagram of the pin outs for my ecu so im gonna play around with my volt meter and see what I get. Does anyone know what kind of voltage I should be running to coil and etc. it would be appreciated

The reason I asked was because I was under the impression the 95 harness had round pins and the newer has flat pins. I was not able to find the round pin coil packs anywhere.(not that they don't exist, just did a quick search)
Just wanna make sure you got the right coil pack.

i have a 95 too it, was doing the same thing (hesitate) and i did the same thing u did replace coil, spark plugs..... but the problem was the cam sensor there were oil between the sensor and the magnet.. its only 2 10mm bolts take a look make sure is clean,.. that fix mine..
