Somebody please help me out or point me in the right direction here (I have a 2g talon tsi awd). My o2 sensor failed and set off my CEL. I was told to follow the steps on the vfaq to bypass the sensor and did so. The problem I am having is with the resistor you solder in between the two black (heater) wires. No matter what resistor I put in there it gets way too hot and starts on fire. Can anybody tell me what the hell is going wrong here? I used a 12 ohm 12 watt resistor like the directions say......if i missed any info that would help please let me know because I'm totally stumped. Thanks a lot for any help!

Yes leave the 2 black wires alone and it will work just fine... however the o2 sensor will get warm because the heater is not bypassed ... so keep it tied up in a safe place or leave it in the pipe..both options work... enjoy
