Ok, I was thinking about ordering a APEX-i N1 down pipe. Someone was telling me though, that since it eliminates the cat. then i can get in big trouble for it and there is a good chance that it could happen, at a road block or something which i have never seen around here. Can someone help me with this? and tell me what are the chances of that happening, and if you have one, have u ever had a problem with that?

ooooooooooh.....it's so shiney!

No emissions check here in Florida. I think there are only a few states that have them. Cali gives you the biggest pain in the ass about emissions. If you haven't had to go before, I doubt that you have to worry about it.

cali isn't so bad, it just makes modding more interesting. for most of the parts on the top of the engine readily seen by a smog tech requires a CARB/ EO number to pass a visual inspection brand new cars in cali arn't required to have a smog for the first 4 yrs.

most techs won't even notice an after market dp. Hint if they do have emissions testing in your state look around at shops and see if there are a lot of ricey hondas' in and out of the shop. If there are, chances are they're not so strict on the visual inspection.

what are you supposed to hook up to the 3" dp? do they leave it with no flange so you can make your own and hook anything up to it?

don't worry about it. us kc'ers don't have to worry about on-site inspections. one guy even had is inspection done with his testpipe in place. the techs all pointed and laughed at his audacity, but passed him. Join us www.kcdsm.org the site is old, but join the email list...

You still can get caught without a Cat though, and it's a big fine if you are caught w/o one.

If a cop pulls you over, notices that you have an import with mods, and decides to check under your car, be ready to bend over and take it.

Ok, what if I bought a high flow cat, and cut the N1 down pipe and welded the high flow on, would that create any problem what so ever? I was thinking about doing that because it will be legal then, and I want to know if there would be any problem with doing that. I need to possibly look at being legal, because KC is supposed to start having road block checks, and emmission testing next fall.
