Help keep throwing code!!

I keep throwing the code Evaporative emission system purge control valve circuit! How do I fix it? I lost gas mileage and the car idles like crap, and skips like hell during half to full throttle or if I just punch it to the floor!

Well I think I got it fixed took it for a drive and now throwing code p0302 cylinder 2 misfire but plug and wire seem to b fine

I think I suggested on your other post to check your if it is your post if nit check the resistance on the coils and also check the wires going to the coil (there's 3) the egr tube could've melted them

No it wasn't mine but I'll check that out ordered a msd coil also!!

Well I Checked it as tested the coil, it was bad so I got a msd coil it helped but still throwing code idk what it is cause just came on tonight! It runs good cold but once it's warmed upped it has a doggie idle like from 1000 to like 800 850ish than back up again and sounds cammed! if u putt with it up the road it like loads itself up and my Eco gauge goes nuts! It snaps back and forth from decl to poor and than will stick on poor! But it I have it planted it will clean itself out and run like a raped ape until I start putting with it again!!

Does Pennsylvania have emissions testing? Is it a required law?

Only in certain counties. My county doesn't I already punched the cat out if that's what ## getting at.

No I was gonna say do an egr delete too while your at it. Totally useless in my opinion and if your egr valve goes to shit it can make an annoying ticking sound and throw a code. They sell egr block off plates on eBay for like 7 bucks. Did it to my 420a runs great

I was concidering it but I ran the codes and it's coming up evaporative purge control and misfire on 2 again! I replaced EVAP under the pass wheel well and the plugs and coil!! The wires r new like 15000 miles ago!!! It's starting to make me mad

This is why I hate emissions..hmm...I have no idea what that even is. I've never encountered the issue either but it makes you wonder why cylinder 2 and what does it misfiring have to do with an evap purge control?

You replaced wires too right?

Yea all was replaced!! Well I called a buddy that has a 1st gen and he told me to check the battery and altnator because it happened to him. My altnator with a load was only drawing 12.6- 13.1 and with nothing on 13.2- 13.4 and completely shut off 12.56 volts and had it tested by car quest and failed the test. So I just got one and I get it all in and take it for a drive to see what happens!!
