help!!! how much psi ?

i just got my car and i was had three questions

1. are the turbos in the GST and GSX the same?

2. how much psi does the stock pump out?

3. how much psi can i pump into a engine with stock internals



and any recommendations on what turbo upgrade i should do.

1. yes the turbos are the same
2. i believe they dump 14psi stock (depends on car)
3. you can push maybe 18psi

i think... i dont know shit about 4g63 because im an NT to turbo. different setups.... you should repost this in the other forum.

Yeah you're posting in the wrong forum ( though you might get an answer since the 4g63 peeps like to hang out here, envious perhaps j/k)

1 - agree with Siu
2 - I think you can get it up to 16psi but it is very unreliable. The stock GST/GSX turbo is small and poorly designed. For a couple hundred you could have some modifications done to the stock turbo to make it more reliable but int he long run you're best best for good steady, consistent boost is probably to be replacing that turbo with something else.
3 - with Siu on this one, nada clue

yeah actually, i should have said... you could run 18psi, but i bet it wont last long

18psi will last but it does nothing for you. Its kinda like the distortion rule on an amplifier. Just because you turn the volume up does not mean that you will get more gains. Actually 16psi is the most efficient your going to get from a T25. After that you start blowing hot air and your efficiency will fall off.

As far as your upgrade path tell me this:

1. What do you do more of "Windy roads" or "Straight Line Racing"
2. How much money are you prepared to spend.
3. How much tuning knowledge do you currently have ( this will tell me how much in labor your looking at)

The good news you have a pretty good car to start with. Now you just need money
